    Effect of 1-methylcyclopropene treatment combined with modified atmosphere packaging on the postharvest storage quality and antioxidant capacity of mini-cucumber

    • 摘要: 为延长迷你黄瓜的保鲜期,比较了1-甲基环丙烯(1-methylcyclopropene, 1-MCP)、自发气调包装(modified atmosphere packaging, MAP)和两者结合处理(1-MCP+MAP)对10 ℃贮藏条件下迷你黄瓜品质的影响。结果表明:与对照组相比,1-MCP、MAP和1-MCP+MAP 3种处理均可有效延缓迷你黄瓜的硬度、可溶性固形物含量和叶绿素含量的下降;其中1-MCP+MAP处理可维持迷你黄瓜较高的过氧化氢酶、抗坏血酸过氧化物酶活性和DPPH自由基、羟自由基清除能力,显著抑制丙二醛含量、失重率和呼吸强度的上升,1-MCP+MAP处理对黄瓜品质的保持效果明显优于单独处理,低温贮藏期可延长5~10 d。研究结果为1-MCP结合MAP的保鲜方法在迷你黄瓜贮藏中的应用提供了技术参考和理论依据。

       

      Abstract: In order to extend the storing period of mini-cucumber, the individual and combined effects of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) on the postharvest storage quality of mini-cucumber during storage at (10±1) ℃ were investigated in this research. The results showed that 1-MCP, MAP and 1-MCP+MAP treatments could delay the decline of chlorophyll content, hardness and total soluble solid content, in comparison with the control group. Among the three treatments, 1-MCP+MAP treatment maintained the highest antioxidant enzyme activities (catalase and ascorbic acid peroxidase) and 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging activity and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, significantly suppressed the changes of malondialdehyde (MDA) content, weight loss and respiration rates. Therefore, the preservation effect of 1-MCP+MAP treatment on the quality of cucumber was significantly better than that of the treatment alone, and the low-temperature storage period could be prolonged by 5-10 d. The results of the study provide a technical reference and theoretical basis for the application of 1-MCP combined with MAP treatment in the preservation of mini-cucumber.
