Abstract:
Pesticide residue in food has become a concerned issue. In order to ensure food safety, pesticide residue in food needs to be accurately determined.Because of the complexity of the sample matrix and the sensitivity limit of instruments, effective extraction of object analytes from food matrix has played a vital role among all analytical procedures.Graphene-based composites have been used as a type of new and promising adsorbents for extraction of pesticide residue because they possess ultrahigh theoretical specific surface area, large delocalized π-electron system, and excellent mechanical and thermal stability. The application of graphene and its composites as adsorbents in the extraction of pesticide residue in food during the latest five years, the types and preparation methods of graphene-based adsorbent, as well as the corresponding extraction modes were reviewed.Furthermore, the extraction mechanism and the future development prospects of graphene-based adsorbent for pesticides were discussed in the paper.
