Abstract:
The aim of this study was to investigate the starch physicochemical properties of wheat infested by different stages of
Sitophilus oryzae,
Sitophilus zeamais,
Rhyzopertha dominica,and provide the data support for the utilization and prevention of insect-infested wheat.In this experiment,No.1 Yubao from Henan Academy of Agriculture was selected as material to investigate the changes of the content of crude starch,starch solubility,swelling degree,water-loss rate,transmittance of glutinous and water-absorption of wheat infested by different stages (egg,larval,pupal and adult stages)
Sitophilus oryzae,
Sitophilus zeamais,Rhyzopertha dominica.The results showed that the content of crude starch decreased as a whole,and the decrease of crude starch content was the largest after larval infestation.Compared with the three pests,the decrease of crude starch content in wheat was the greatest after infestation by
Rhyzopertha dominica.The solubility,swelling degree,water-loss rate,transmittance and water-absorption of wheat increased as a whole.Among that,the water-loss rate of the three pests changed significantly after pupae infestation,and the increase of wheat starch water-loss rate was the largest after infestation by
Rhyzopertha dominica larvae,which indicated that the damage of starch was obvious after the damage of larvae and pupae of pests.The larval stage of
Sitophilus oryzae,Sitophilus zeamais,Rhyzopertha dominica was significantly and positively correlated with wheat starch solubility,swelling degree,water-loss rate,transmittance and water-absorption,while the crude starch had a significant negative correlation with different stages of pests,and the correlation coefficient was -0.906,0.897,and -0.879,respectively.
