Study on Break System and Intermediate Product of Triticale Milling Process

    • In the intermittent experimental pulverizing system, the triticale milling process was explored by grinding the flour using a pneumatic roller mill, collecting the grinding materials of each grinder, and determining the distribution of the intermediate product under different break releases. The results showed that the crude grain and dust content of triticale reached 61.3% after grinding with the first two break systems. The endosperm could be completely removed by four grinding steps, one bran brushing and bran finishing. The break release rates of the first three break system could be respectively set at 30.4%, 52.2% and 43.4%, corresponding to 0.45, 0.35, and 0.30 mm of the rolling gap of flour mill. After grinding with the break system, the content of semolina in triticale was the highest and the content of triticale core was less. The particle sizes were significantly different. The ash content of semolina increased with the increasing number of grinding paths. In the whole pulverizing process, the sling system and the purification system were needed to further purify triticale flour.
