    Comparative Study on Steel Concrete Silos Among Chinese,European and American Code

    • The system,the scope and objects applied,the physical properties of stored materials of Chinese,European and American code on concrete silos were analyzed,and their similarities and differences among the three codes were compared.The results showed that the physical properties of stored materials and behavior pressure ratio were different based on the basic theory and pressures computed by Janssen in the three codes.Among the three codes,the horizontal pressure and vertical pressure of EN1991-4 was the smallest; the vertical frictional force on wall of EN1991-4 was the largest; the horizontal pressure and vertical pressure of ACI 313-97 was the largest; the vertical pressure and vertical frictional force on wall of GB50077-2003 was the smallest on the symmetrical filling and discharge load situation.
